Leslie Owen Wilson is a professor in the School of Education at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point where she teaches courses in educational psychology, theories of learning, curriculum, creativity, and, occasionally, models of teaching. In addition to her university teaching, she has had multiple incarnations as a classroom teacher, reading teacher, and teacher and developer of programs for highly able and creative learners in Maryland, Georgia and Oklahoma. Leslie has also written the book, Every Child, Whole Child. When time allows, she periodically works on another book manuscript, Journeys: Inside Out, Outside In. Both past and future books bridge theory into practice for teachers and use Gardner's Multiple Intelligences Theory and holistic learning as their foundations. In 1994 UW-SP recognized her outstanding contributions in the area of instruction with a teaching excellence award.
