Out-of-State Teacher License Application Process – How do I apply for my Wisconsin teaching license if I completed an out-of-state program? Requirements to add-on a new license - How do I pursue an additional teaching license if I am already a certified teacher?

  • Early Childhood Ages 0-8 (This program is for teachers who are already certified to teach Elementary Education.)
  • Reading Teacher or Reading Specialist - #316 or #17
  • Special Education - UWSP offers special education certification in Early Childhood Special Education ages 0-8 (Early Childhood), and Cognitive Disabilities, Emotional Disturbances and Learning Disabilities ages 6-13 (Middle Childhood through Early Adolescence) or 10-21 (Early Adolescence through Adolescence)
  • All other add-on licenses - Please contact Maggie Beeber, Teacher Certification Officer, 715-346-2040, or mbeeber@uwsp.edu.
