As you embark on your college search, you will discover that Wisconsin is home to a large number of quality education programs. While every education program has a similar goal – to produce top-notch teachers – each program is unique in their approach. So, how do you choose what university and education program is right for you?

Campus Tour By the College of Profesional Studies We recommend visiting a number of campuses – don’t just take the campus tour, ask to visit with the academic department. The standard campus tour may look and sound great, but unless you know what is expected of you in the education program, it is difficult to make a well-informed decision.

At UWSP, undergraduate students are encouraged to visit campus by registering for one of the following:

Daily Visits
Typically, UW-Stevens Point offers campus visits and tours Monday through Friday from 10am-12:30pm and 1pm-3:30pm.
  • Registration for a daily visit can be made online or by phone, 715-346-2441.
  • To schedule a meeting with an advisor in the School of Education, please call 715-346-2040.
  • Students seeking a license to teach at the Secondary/K-12 levels may also want to visit the department of their major. Department contact information can be found here.
ViewPoint Days
ViewPoints are comprehensive visit programs where you and other prospective students learn more about campus. Presentations include information on admissions, financial aid, student life, and career services. Students and families have the opportunity to meet with two academic departments during the visit.
  • Registration for a ViewPoint day can be made online or by phone, 715-346-2441.

Classroom Visits
We receive numerous requests by high school students wanting to visit a School of Education class. Due to the small class size of Education courses at UWSP and in order to respect the learning environment for our students, we cannot accommodate these requests.
