Your Professional Education Portfolio includes specific performance tasks
that demonstrate your knowledge, skills, and dispositions, as described in the ten
Wisconsin Teacher Standards.
In most of your courses, you will complete assignments to add to your
portfolio. EDUC 200, 300, and 400 (or department equivalents) will
support you
in the development of your portfolio, culminating in a
capstone experience at the end of your student teaching. A complete
portfolio is an essential part of earning your initial license.
These are the official resources for the SOE Portfolio. Be
careful: you may find other resources in other places. Those
resources may be out-of-date or incorrect.
If the portfolio requirements change during your degree, you are
only responsible for completing the requirements during the semester you
took EDUC 200 (or department equivalent).
This memo (PDF) describes changes to the portfolio process and outcomes, starting with EDUC 200 in Spring 2011.
