Special Education Program
The School of Education has placed enrollment caps on students admitted to the Professional Education Program in the Special Education major. Students must meet all minimum requirements PRIOR to applying to the Program.

The top 25 Special Education major students per year (12/13 per semester) will be admitted based on the following ranking system:

  • 40%  Grade Point Average from all institutions attended
  • 40%  Pre-Professional Interview score
  • 20%  Praxis I scores

Students will be allowed to apply no more than twice to the any of the following majors/minors: Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Special Education.

Special Education Minors
The School of Education has placed enrollment caps on students admitted to the Professional Education Program in the Special Education Minor. Students must meet all minimum requirements PRIOR to applying to the Program.

The top 60 Special Education minor students per year will be admitted based on a ranking system in the fields of Emotional Disturbance, Learning Disabilities, and Mild-and Moderate Cognitive Disabilities with no more than 25 student in any one area. The top 25 Early Childhood:Special Education minors will be admitted per year.

Students will be allowed to apply no more than twice to the any of the following majors/minors: Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Special Education.
