Education

Students in Communicative Disorders seeking admission to the Professional Education Program must have an overall GPA of 2.75, an in-major GPA of 3.00 and all 200 level Communicative Disorders courses must be completed at time of application. Grade point averages will be calculated using grades from all colleges attended. If there are more applicants seeking admission to the professional education program than there are positions available, the students will be prioritized by GPAs.

Enrollment cap: 32 per year.

Students denied admission to the Pprofessional Education Program may utilize the School of Communicative Disorders current appeal process (a letter requesting reconsideration can be submitted to the Academic Program Committee). The student will be notified of the response by the School of Communicative Disorders before recommendations are submitted to the School of Education.

A letter of appeal must also be sent to the School of Education Appeal Committee by the deadline listed in the letter of denial.

Applicants must meet the minimum requirements for admission to the Professional Education Program as set by the School of Education.
