Purpose
The purpose of DAB is to represent the interests of UWSP students through the shared governance of the University Dining Services. This alliance focuses on creating a student friendly, health conscious, educational, fiscally responsible and environmentally sustainable department. Members of DAB work hand in hand with management to oversee the programs, policies and budgets of the University Dining Services.
Scope of Responsibilities
The responsibilities of DAB include:
- gathering input and advocating for user issues in the UDS community
- proposing educational programming
- providing input on budget and policies
- offering input on new and revised contracts and contract bids
Request Funding
DAB donation requests must come from students or be for an event that directly benefits students. It is our preference to support campus-wide events, but we will donate towards smaller events that demonstrate some sort of educational value or have distinct purpose towards benefiting campus and students.
Donations must be in the form of food or food related products. DAB is able to donate packaged foods or fresh foods that are a regular part of the Upper DeBot menu line; we are unable to donate catering services or catered foods. We are unable to provide linens, tableware, etc.
Requests should be made at least two weeks in advance of the event.
When possible, DAB would like feedback as to how our donation was used or was beneficial. Information in the form of pictures, posters, or emails detailing how the event went would be appreciated, and in some cases will be put up on the website as an example of the work DAB does on campus.
