UWSP joins national project
UW-Stevens Point has adopted the Voluntary System of
Accountability, a national project designed to provide
information about the college experience. As one of the first
universities to sign on, UWSP joined nearly 250 other colleges
and universities in providing consistent and clear information
that will help students, parents, and others understand what it
means to be a student at UWSP. Check out the
“College Portrait” to get a glimpse of the UWSP community.
UWSP recognized by U.S. News and World Report
UWSP has again achieved recognition for quality education among public universities in a major national ranking. U.S. News and World Report’s 2009 college rankings named UWSP in the Top 10 of Public Midwestern Universities–Master’s level.
"Research shows that students learn more, are happier with their education and are more likely to graduate if they have more contact with their professors," said Chancellor Linda Bunnell. "We have more full-time faculty members who are able share their time and enthusiasm for their subjects with their students, helping them connect to their future in both professional and personal ways."
UWSP
scored well in the National Survey of Student Engagement. See the scores
