Special Olympics

The purpose of this course is to provide participants with an understanding of the mission and coaching philosophy of the Special Olympics.

The course is also designed to provide participants with hands-on experience in working with athletes with disabilities at the Special Olympics State Meet in Stevens Point.
This course would be appropriate for persons who are looking to get involved for the first time in the Special Olympics program, and also for experienced Special Olympic volunteers who want to learn more about the Special Olympics movement.

Participants should meet a the Special Olympics Volunteer Tent at 4:30 - 6:30 pm on Thursday June 5th. Class meets in the HEC 116 from 4:30-6:30 pm. Required attendance on all 3 days of the event.
