Wellness Profession Development

This course explores current issues in the professional field of health promotion and wellness. Class readings, discussions and participation/analysis of various presentations at the National Wellness Conference will contribute to the up-dating and development of professional skills.

Learning Objectives:

  • Become familiar with the National Wellness Institute's approach to wellness by assessing your own level of wellness, and determine how you will change your own personal wellness.
  • Explore current contemporary issues as related to health promotion and wellness.
  • Define, explore and seek to answer your own self-defined question as it pertains to you personally, your family, your community and the organization you work for?
  • Discuss how you will apply what you have learned to your wellness

The National Wellness Conference is June 23-26, 2014, in Minneapolis, MN. For conference information, visit http://www.nationalwellness.org/Conference or call 715-342-2969.

Be sure to inquire about the NWI student member rate for the main week of the conference plus the annual student membership fee.

*Conference attendance is required and conference registration is not included in tuition.

3 credits: $868.59

WI Graduate
3 credits: $1354.71

Note: Registration cost for the National Wellness Conference is separate from tuition cost for this credit course. Conference attendance is required. 

Tuition reflects WI resident off-campus rate plus a $20 distance education administration fee per credit in which you are registered.
