Meditation and Yoga

Learn how meditation works, the benefits of meditation, the role of thoughts in meditation and different forms of meditation including Yoga Nidra. Students will practice a variety of breathing and meditation techniques supported by gentle yoga posture work.

What to bring to the workshop:

  • Loose, comfortable clothing that allows freedom of movement.    Jeans   are not good. (Bring clothes that you can layer, in case the room temperature is too hot or too cold for you.)
  • Jacket and hiking/tennis shoes for outside exploration.
  • Two or more blankets to lie on, wrap up in, fold under your neck, back or knees for support, etc.
  • Pillows to sit on and use to support knees, etc. (Bring at least 2-3 small, firm pillows.)
  • Yoga mat, if you have one.
  • Notebook, journal, or paper and pen/pencil.
  • Sacred object.
