OPTION A - Section 791 (1 credit): Attend the UW-System Reading Symposium in Madison on June 27-28, 2008 and submit a written project to the instructor by July 31, 2008.

  Wisconsin Standards: Option A (1 credit) has been designed to meet the following Wisconsin Teacher Standards:

OPTION B - Section 793 (3 credits): Those wishing to complete Option B must attend the Reading Symposium AND participate in campus seminars in which participants will read and discuss the research being presented at the Symposium. A completed written project is due on July 31, 2008, for those completing Option B.

Note: 
Either option A or B will fulfill the DPI requirement for phonics instruction.

This course will not be cancelled due to low enrollment.

Textbook: No textbook; however, you will be required to download readings via the UWSP online course program Desire2Learn (D2L).  You will receive access instructions upon receipt of your registration for credit.
