A Note from the Instructor

This workshop will prepare you for all three sections of the NCIDQ examination through practice tests, review of pertinent material, practice practicum sessions and evaluation of practicum session work.

Please be aware that the eligibility requirements for the NCIDQ examination have been changed.

  • As of January 1, 2008, NCIDQ exam applicants will be required to complete their applicable work experience under the direct supervision of an NCIDQ-certificate holder, a licensed/registered/certified interior designer, or a registered architect who offers interior design services.

  • No independent practice time will be accepted.  The supervised experience requirement applies only to those exam candidates who begin their work experience on or after January 1, 2008.

  • Although this may not impact you personally, new graduates will be very focused on completing their applicable work experience so that it will qualify for acceptance.

It will become very important for your firm to have NCIDQ certificate holders on staff in order to attract the best entry-level employees.
