Description:

This course is being offered for teachers to think reflectively about important current issues in teaching, learning, and assessment of adolescent literacy and to network and share best practices in literacy education.  Participants will engage in books studies (reading choices to be determined) and learn about and appraise models of adolescent literacy initiatives from other schools.  Participants will also design, implement, and assess improvements to literacy instruction and assessment in their classrooms.
