Entrepreneurial Training Program

The Small Business Development Center is pleased to provide local entrepreneurs and those looking to start a business, with top-notch, impact training. Over 500 participants have completed Entrepreneurial Training throughout our nine-county region. This has resulted in start-up or expansion of over 300 small businesses to help boost the economy of the Central Wisconsin area.

Through this training you will complete a strong written business plan on the direction your business needs to succeed.  Whether you have been in business for years and need some solid planning tools, or are beginning a business, this training will help you succeed.

Spring 2012 Locations and Dates

Stevens Point - Tuesdays

This 8-session series will cover management and legal structure, business and market research, marketing, financial records and control, financial planning and budgets, how to finance your business, and will include a summary and graduation session. 

We are also pleased to announce that by filling out an application, the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation may subsidize 75% of your $1000 course fee.  With this assistance your fee is only $250. Wisconsin Investment Act (WIA) funds may also be available to help pay for the course. Contact your local Job Service office for details.  Your application will be processed within two weeks of our receiving it. This program is offered in various locations throughout our 9-county SBDC area, including Stevens Point and Wausau.
