​Description This course will introduce students to the history of American Indians in Wisconsin and the western Great Lakes region. Through readings, web-based discussion, and writing assignments, students will explore topics  such as the origins of Wisconsin Indians, early contacts with Europeans, relations with the United States, treaty rights, and the modern tribal governments.
