Special Announcement from the Division of Mental Health and Substance Abuse regarding information distributed after sessions 22 & 28
The Division of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services has worked hard to create an environment where all conference participants have an opportunity to learn and network. The Division was recently made aware of the distribution of materials at the conference that do not align with our mission and values. The Division does not support the content of these materials and did not endorse its distribution.

Major Schedule Change
Due to unexpected circumstances, Kathleen Crowley, Executive Director, Procovery Institute is unable to attend the conference. As a result, her workshop, #21, Systems Transformation: Lessons Learned, and #27 Procovery Circles: A Highly Structured System for Group Training And Support, are cancelled.
We are very fortunate to have found an excellent replacement session and speakers. Session 21(8:30-9:45) and 27 (10:00-11:15) is now a two-part workshop:
Working Together Works
Dan Naylor, Coordinated Services Team Specialist, White Pine Consulting Service, Waupaca, WI and Dottie Moffit, Consultant, Minocqua, WI
The importance of system collaboration is critical at this time, regardless of target population – youth, families, women, or seniors. Dan and Dottie will review the Coordinated Services Team process, highlighting successful collaborative systems of care that build on strengths to address needs in three different settings – children and youth, women’s AODA treatment programs, and working with seniors. Extensive group interaction and hands-on activities will enhance participants’ skills related to developing and participating on client-centered collaborative teams, strength-based planning, conflict management, and transition. Citing outcomes from several collaborative initiatives, emphasis will focus on community-based systems, the importance of collaboration between multiple agencies and organizations, and meaningful outcomes for both clients and providers.
Keynote Change-The keynote scheduled for lunch on Tuesday, Wisconsin Nicotine Treatment Integration Project, Eric Heiligenstein, MD, Clinical Director, Psychiatry, UW Madison Health Services, Madison, WI will be our closing keynote on Wednesday, Oct. 28.
If you were registered for either workshop 21 or 27, and would like change workshops, please contact our customer service line at 800-898-9472, or email your changes to dl-cecserv@uwsp.edu by Thursday, Oct. 22.
