Welcome to AMSLC 2009. UW-Stevens Point and the conference planning committee are working hard to provide you with a exciting and meaningful leadership conference. We hope you find the conference a rewarding experience. The 2009 conference theme is “Branching Out From a Common Ground.”

Conference Lodging

A block of rooms has been reserved at the Holiday Inn Hotel and Convention center for the nights of October 16 & 17. Single occupancy rooms are $70 per night and Double through Quadruple occupancy rooms are $99 per night. Please make your reservations directly with the Holiday Inn by:

1. Guest’s can call the hotels directly. The phone number to the Holiday Inn Hotel and Convention Center is 715-344-0200.
2. Guest’s can call 1-800-HOLIDAY. They should reference the group block code.
3. Guest’s can visit the Holiday Inn Website and follow the below instructions.
   To book your guest room online:
   1. Go to http://www.holidayinn.com
   2. Type in "Stevens Point and WI" along with the arrival and departure dates in the appropriate fields.
   3. Click on the appropriate hotel - either the Holiday Inn Hotel & Convention Center or the Holiday Inn Express.
   4. On the left hand side of the screen, in the area where your arrival and departure dates appear, there will be a box that "Group Code". Enter the three letter block code and search availability.

Driving Directions

To UWSP Dreyfus University Center, 1015 Reserve Street

From Green Bay and eastern Wisconsin

Take Highway 29 to Wausau, then I-39/ Hwy 51 south to Stevens Point. Take exit 159 and drive west on Highway 66 (Stanley Street) into the city. Continue to follow Stanley Street. Turn left onto Fremont Street, turn right on High Street, and then left on Reserve Street

OR Take Highway 41 to Appleton, then Highway 10 west from the Fox River Valley into Stevens Point. Turn right onto Fremont Street, turn left on High Street, and then left on Reserve Street.

From Madison and southern Wisconsin

Take I-39/Hwy 51 north to Stevens Point. Take exit 159 and drive west on Highway 66 (Stanley Street) into the city. Continue to follow Stanley Street. Turn left onto Fremont Street, turn right on High Street, and then left on Reserve Street

From the Milwaukee area

Take I-94 west and north to I-39/Hwy 51 above Madison. Take I-39/Hwy 51 north to Stevens Point. Take exit 159 and drive west on Highway 66 (Stanley Street) into the city. Continue to follow Stanley Street. Turn left onto Fremont Street, turn right on High Street, and then left on Reserve Street.

From Minneapolis/St. Paul and western Wisconsin

Take I-94 east to Hwy 29 east. Follow Highway 29 east to Wausau, and then take I-39/Hwy 51 south to Stevens Point. Take exit 159 and drive west on Highway 66 (Stanley Street) into the city. Continue to follow Stanley Street. Turn left onto Fremont Street, turn right on High Street, and then left on Reserve Street.

OR Take I-94 east to Highway 10 east. Follow Hwy 10 into Stevens Point. Turn left onto Fremont Street, turn left on High Street, and then left on Reserve Street.

From Wausau and northern Wisconsin

Take I-39/Hwy 51 south to Stevens Point. Take exit 159 and drive west on Highway 66 (Stanley Street) into the city. Continue to follow Stanley Street. Turn left onto Fremont Street, turn right on High Street, and then left on Reserve Street.

To Holiday Inn

From the North:

From Interstate 39.US Hwy 51, take the Hwy 10 East exit. Turn Right on Hwy 10 East and travel approximately 2 miles to Amber Avenue. Turn left on Amber Avenue; the hotel is on the right hand side of the street.

From the South:

From Interstate 39.US Hwy 51, take the Hwy 10 East exit. Turn Right on Hwy 10 East and travel approximately 2 miles to Amber Avenue. Turn left on Amber Avenue; the hotel is on the right hand side of the street.

From the East:

Take Hwy 10 East through Stevens Point for approximately 4 miles to Amber Ave. and turn left. The hotel is on the right side of the street.

From the West:

TAKE Hwy. 10 West to Amber Ave. and turn right. The hotel is on the right side of the street.
