Some of the great artists thought so,and applied their skills to the study of still life. Kristie is an artist and teacher, who works primarily with oil paints. Last year she spent 45 days creating<strong> </strong>a painting each day of different food items. She will share her thoughts and lessons about that experience. <br /><br />Learn to:<br />• Arrange and light your still life<br />• Make thumbnails (small drawings to work out composition)<br />• Set up your palette<br /><br /></div> <div>You’ll also learn about the three stages of a painting:<br />• Beginning: blocking in<br />• Middle: color mixing &amp; bringing out mid-tones<br />• End: bring up highlights &amp; use painterly approach)<br />&nbsp;<br />Learn from your process &amp; critique your work.<br /><br /></div> <div><em>Some materials included.
