The Project Management Institute's Project Management
Professional (PMPR) certification is a credential that demonstrates project
management experience and knowledge. This workshop will teach the participant the
logistics of the examination, how to apply for it, how to prepare for it, and how
to pass the exam.
The workshop is designed for professionals seeking to
refresh their knowledge on the PMBOK before taking the PMP exam, as well as for
those who are interested in understanding the science of Project Management and
how it applies to their business. This course is relevant for experienced project
managers and those who want to eventually become project managers, and very important
for those who want to pass the PMP exam.
This material is geared to the 5th editional
Project Management Book of Knowledge (PMBOK) and the new exam that will be rolling
out on August 1, 2013.
About the Instructor
Kay Wais, PMP, is an experienced project
manager and the owner of Successful Projects. She is the direct for the Certificate
in Project Management program at the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point. She
was the founder of the La Crosse PMI Chapter. She regularly conducts project management
training and is a regular speaker for PMI chapters. Kay has more than 13 years of
experience in Project Management and a Masters in Project Management from the University
