Destination Imagination (DI) is a non-profit, volunteer-led, cause-driven organization whose purpose is to inspire and equip students to become the next generation of innovators and leaders. Annually, they offer seven new standards-based challenges in STEM, improv, visual arts, service learning, and early learning. Each challenge enables student teams to learn and experience the creative process from imagination to innovation.

Tournament Day Reminders from UW-Stevens Point

UW-Stevens Point would like to keep your family, spectators, and event staff safe while on campus. As visitors, we ask that you protect university equipment, assets, and property while here. Challenge Masters will run each challenge site.  Challenge masters will do what they can to make sure you and university property are safe. Debot Dining Center

Enjoy continental breakfast, brunch or dinner.  Purchase a dining ticket in Upper Debot. Adult (A) is age 13 and up.  Youth (Y) is 12 and under. Tickets are: $6.63 (A) and $5.69 (Y) plus tax for continental breakfast (8:30 a.m. - 10 a.m.); $7.58 (A) or $6.63 (Y) plus tax for lunch (10:30 a.m. - 1 p.m.), and $8.53 (A) and $7.58 (Y) plus tax for dinner (4 p.m. - 6 p.m.). Visit the Creativity Expo

For a second year, Destination Imagination Inc. has organized an exhibitor hall where regional organizations and university groups will exhibit hands-on activities for our members to continue in the creative process!  Opportunities to learn, have fun, and engage in science, technology, engineering, mathematics (STEM), problem-solving, creativity, and performance are all here!  There’s a special place for everyone at the Creativity Expo!
Where/when: Health Enhancement Center, Quandt Gym from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. 
The Quandt Gym will be closed from 3-4 p.m. to prepare for the award ceremony.

Watch a Show in the Planetarium!

Showing: “The Night Skies of Spring”  
Description:  As the seasons change, so does our view of the night sky.  This show takes an in-depth look at the stars, planets and constellations of the current night sky. 
Show times: 10 a.m., Noon, 1 p.m., 2:30 p.m., and 3:30 p.m.
Location: The planetarium is located on the second floor of the Science Building directly above the east main entrance.

Shop the University Store

The University Store is located in the Dreyfus University Center on Reserve Street and is open from 8:30 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Visit Schmeeckle Reserve

Take a walk through the 280 acre natural area conservancy area with 5 miles of trails and boardwalks, a 24-acre lake, and a large diversity of habitats that support numerous wildlife species. Schmeeckle (shmeek-lee) Reserve is managed to protect and restore natural communities of central Wisconsin, serve as an outdoor classroom for learning, and provide outdoor recreation opportunities.  Open to the public.  Explore the Visitor Center and Shop, and tour the Wisconsin Conservation Hall of Fame gallery and exhibits to learn about the history of conservation in Wisconsin.  The Visitor Center hours are 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.   

Explore the Garden of Curiosities

Gain a new appreciation for the fort! Internationally acclaimed environmental artist, Patrick Doughtery, completed these site specific sculptures as visiting artist in the spring of 2013.  Created out of nearby saplings, the interwoven sticks form enchanting sculptures adults will be in awe over and kids will maniacally explore! Don’t just drive past them, go in them!  The installation exhibit is located on the edge of the Sundial on Portage Street by the Noel Fine Arts Center. 

Visit the Museums and Art Galleries at UW-Stevens Point

• The Natural History Museum.  Museum Hours: 9 a.m. - 9 p.m., Gift Shop store hours: 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.
• The Carlsten Art Gallery: Exhibiting "Ampersand" by Jillian Noble. Gallery Hours: 1- 4 p.m.

Festival of the Arts (Sunday, April 19, 2015)

One of the first art festivals of the season for Midwest artists, we maintain a reputation of quality, original and unique art works for sale, represented by 50 select artists.  Where/when: Noel Fine Arts Center, UW-Stevens Point 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.  


Faculty premieres and guest choreography performance.  Share in UW-Steven Point’s accomplished dancers’ versatility and artistry as they perform inspiring new work by faculty choreographers Michael Estanich, Jeannie Hill, Joan Karlen, Scott Wirtz-Olsen and renowned Chicago choreographer Autumn Eckman.  Where/when: Noel Fine Arts Center Studio Theatre, UW-Stevens Point, 7:30 p.m. performance time.  Tickets for Danstage are available at the University Information and Tickets desk in the Dreyfus University Center, or the Noel Fine Arts Center Box Office.  Ticket prices are $19 (Adult), $18 (Senior) and $14 (Youth).
