About the Workshop
This workshop will provide an introduction to 3D modeling and presentation using SketchUp Pro, an all-purpose 3D modeling tool. SketchUp is an easy way to rapidly visualize and communicate your design ideas to clients. With the addition of more advanced rendering software plug-ins, this program can also be used to create photorealistic presentation images that can add polish and impact to your design presentations with minimal additional work. This workshop will also explore the rendering plug-in iRender nXt, for advanced visualization in SketchUp.
Although the content of this workshop will be geared towards architecture and interior design professionals, the workshop is open to anyone interested in learning the SketchUp software and will provide a solid introduction to the software, regardless of professional interest.
By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:
- Understand how SketchUp can be used as part of the architectural design process.
- Create a 3D model in SketchUp, using modeling tools, layers, scenes, and components.
- Utilize the SketchUp materials manager and plug-in rendering software to create final presentations of a design.
