 Businesses constantly communicate with customers and other businesses using social media. At this conference, active social media practitioners will conduct peer-to-peer breakout sessions to provide insight on how to energize your social media efforts to PROMOTE, GROW, and EXPAND your business.

We are moving the Central Wisconsin Social Media Conference to the UW Stevens Point campus! Join us to learn more about using social media in your business as part of the 2013 Business | Consumer Marketplace for Portage County. This full week of activities will enhance your business with various speakers, workshops, a job fair and the Business Expo.


Parking is available in Lot R or Lot X at metered spaces for $.50/hour. Meters can be prepaid up to 12 hours.

Wayne Breitbarth is an experienced businessman, speaker and author who has shared his passion for social media with thousands of business professionals. His clients include Inc. Magazine, the American Marketing Association and the American Society for Quality. Wayne draws on his 30 years experience in the areas of operations, finance, management, consulting and business ownership to help companies develop a comprehensive strategy for using LinkedIn to increase sales, raise brand awareness, recruit employees and reduce recruiting fees, and discover new markets for their products and services.

Jim Raffel and Shelby Sapusek debate social media topics including blogging, social networks and new technology and how they pertain to business use. The discussion is both educational and entertaining and gives the audience valuable takeaways on how to grow business through social media channels. Audience participation is encouraged and questions welcomed throughout the presentation.
