We are very proud of our students' enthusiasm about their work with us. Please take the time to review some of the positive recommendations from UWSP Comm Dis Alumni. All comments below were included with these students' permission:
"I am very proud of the education that I received in Point. I knew my education was excellent. The exposure to many different disorders and school/community settings was so important. Please let the staff know that I appreciated all the long hours and reports that I had to write. They did help" (C. Nimm, 2001).
"Let everyone know that I have had so many compliments on my training from UW-Stevens Point, from staff and parents" (R. Kruse, 2003).
When employers interview and hire our graduates, we are proud to receive the following comments:
"I had the pleasure of being on an interview team for our district. We recently had five candidates about to graduate from UWSP.... We had a difficult decision determining which applicant to pick. All of the candidates would have done well in the position.... I want to commend the program at UWSP for preparing the students so well. It was certainly a well trained and knowledgeable group. They presented themselves well and have obviously put a lot of time into learning the field. Please pass along to your faculty and staff that they are doing a great job !!!! " (A. Kleinschmidt, Speech/Language Pathologist, Antigo School District).
