Dear Graduate School Applicant:
Thank you for your interest in our graduate program. This letter summarizes the application process. Please see our application link on our website at https://www.uwsp.edu/ComD for specific information. You may also request a paper application packet by emailing Mrs. Chris Zinda at czinda@uwsp.edu.
Each application is reviewed by members of our School of Communicative Disorders (ComD) if it meets our application requirements. The deadline for all application materials is Monday, January 13, 2014. I encourage you to send your application to the ComD via delivery confirmation mail or certified mail. If your application to the School of Communicative Disorders arrives before the deadline, we will contact you if any materials are missing. We must receive the School of Communicative Disorders application to process your application file. Please do not call or email to check the status of your application in January. We process approximately 190 applications each cycle and it is not possible to respond to inquires about the status of your file during this time.
If you are an international student, please let us know immediately and special instructions will be sent to you. An international student must submit an application to the International Students and Scholars Office at UWSP.
If you wish to be considered for a ComD graduate assistantship, please submit the assistantship application with your other application materials.
I recommend beginning the application process as soon as possible during the fall 2013 semester prior to applying. Incomplete application files will not be reviewed. It is your responsibility to make sure all components of the application are completed prior to the deadline. I also recommend informing the people writing letters of recommendation for you of the January 13, 2014, deadline because it is earlier than many other graduate programs. There is a check list of required application materials on our website to assist you as you monitor the submission of your application materials.

You are welcome to visit our facility, meet with me and other ComD faculty and staff, or visit with current students. If you have questions concerning the application process or the program, please do not hesitate to call me at 715-346-4657 or email me at Julia.King@uwsp.edu.
