The UWSP chapter of the National Student Speech Language and Hearing
Association (NSSLHA) is a student organization devoted to developing
member knowledge about the field of Communicative Disorders,
participating in university and community service activities, and having
fun! NSSLHA is a great organization to be involved in whether you are
considering a major or are currently majoring in Communicative
Disorders. It is a wonderful way to gain valuable volunteer experiences
as well as meet new people, including; community members, fellow
students, professors and staff. NSSLHA is involved in many fun and
exciting activities throughout the school year including; a department
Spring Picnic, Highway clean-up, Halloween party for the children of the
Center for Communicative Disorders, volunteering at Head Start
Preschool, spending time with nursing home residents and much more!
