ASC's mission is to teach using the philosophical principles and music education methods developed by Dr. Shinichi Suzuki and to nurture, motivate and inspire students, parents and teachers to incorporate these principles into their lives. For students the emphasis is on musical and personal growth through individual and group instruction which develop technique, musicianship and kind hearts. Parents receive support through the AMBASSADOR (a monthly newsletter), parent discussion groups and opportunities for informal sharing during student activities. For teachers, UWSP provides an extensive teacher development program that includes both summer workshop opportunities and a Suzuki Emphasis option in the Masters of Music Education degree.
