Description: 50 Favorites - 4. Characterized by Alice Hulett Metz as one of the “aristocrats” of pattern glass, the DIAMOND THUMBPRINT pattern provides goblet collectors with one of their greatest challenges. Ruth Webb Lee mentions, in her “Popular Ten” article, that the pattern “would rank among the first ten but for the fact that the goblets are virtually unobtainable.” As if to underscore this point, a photograph showing six DIAMOND THUMBPRINT goblets was published in the September, 1944, issue of Antiques with the caption “Seeing is Believing!” (50 Favorites catalogue) M1 p. 10
