June 9, 2008 is the registration deadline. Late registrations may be accepted with a late registration penalty of $30.
  3. What if I need to cancel? What is the refund policy?
You may cancel up to 2 weeks prior the the camp and be charged a $50 processing fee (loss of $50 deposit). Cancellations received after that point will not be refunded. No refunds will be given for a student who is asked to leave camp for disciplinary reasons, homesickness, or after the first day of camp.

  4. What is the daily schedule?
The schedule for each camp and camper will vary depending on the camp attended and classes chosen. Campers are usually in class by 8:30am, eat lunch around noon, and finish class around 4pm.

  5. Can I visit my child or send them mail/packages while they're at camp?
Parents are welcome to visit their campers during the week as well as send them mail. Mail may be sent to the address listed on your verification materials. We ask that parents who are visiting a camper notify the camp office.

  6. What are the dormitories like?
Campers reside in UWSP student dormitories with boys in one building and girls in a separate building. The staff provides sheets and bath towels for the campers. The dorms are not air-conditioned and it is suggested that campers bring a fan with them for comfort.

  7. My child would like to room with a friend - how do we request this?
There is a space on the application form for a roommate request. The camp staff does their best to honor all requests received by the application cut-off date. In the event that more than one camper is requesting the same roommate, the application that was received first will be honored.

  8. What evening activities are planned?
Afternoon and evening activities in the past have included: movie night, karaoke, dances, concerts, workshop classes, pizza parties, volleyball, and nature hikes. Each Camp Director plans evening activities based on camper interest and weather. All afternoon and evening activities are fully supervised.

  9. How much supervision is there for the campers?
We maintain a 10:1 camper/counselor ratio in addition to the camp faculty and staff. Qualified Camp Counselors are on duty any time the campers are not in class and reside with them in the dormitories. Campers are not allowed to leave campus without their counselor. Riding in cars is also not permitted during the camp session. Counselors check on their assigned campers throughout the day.

  10. Does my child need to bring cash for any other expenses?
All camp expenses such as meals, classes, and supplies are covered by the camper's tuition. Campers may want to bring money to use vending machines or for purchases they choose to make during the week.

  11. I am attending a one-day art workshop, where do I park?
Parking is available on city streets (Briggs Street, Isadore Street) adjacent to the Noel Fine Arts Center as well as at meters in UWSP lots R and X.
