Kerry Schumann
Executive
Director
Wisconsin League of Conservation Voters
Kerry Schumann has been the Executive Director of the
Wisconsin League of Conservation Voters (WCLV) since May
of 2004. Under Kerry’s leadership the organization has grown
from a new start-up to a major conservation and political
organization with staff and offices around the state. In
building the organization, Kerry’s focus has been on
developing a locally-based presence in key parts of the
state, recruiting exceptional staff and significantly
increasing WLCV’s budget. Before coming to WLCV, Kerry
worked with the
Wisconsin
Public Interest Research Group (WISPIRG) for 13 years.
Prior to entering a career in environmental advocacy and
politics, Kerry worked in environmental education in
Wisconsin and North Carolina. She spent several summers
exploring the Appalachian Trail in North Carolina with
children at the
Nantahala
Outdoor Centers’ Learning Center. Kerry’s love of the
outdoors started while growing up on a farm in Waukesha
County and camping with her family at Page Creek Marsh near
Montello. Kerry now lives in Madison with her daughter,
Emma.
