Priorities
Priorities for all WEEB Grant Categories
All grant funded projects MUST provide learning opportunities tied to one of the goals identified within EE 2010: A Plan for Advancing Environmental Education in Wisconsin.
The goals and associated objectives identified within EE 2010 reflect the opinions of stakeholders from throughout Wisconsin and, as such, are designed to guide not only the WEEB, but all institutions working to enhance the environmental literacy of Wisconsin's citizens.
Grant writers are strongly encouraged to review the complete EE 2010 document (Jump to EE 2010) or alternatively you may request a copy be mailed to you before writing a proposal.
For your convenience, the goals identified within EE 2010: A Plan for Advancing Environmental Education in Wisconsin are included here:
Goal I: Focus content of environmental education (EE) on holistic outcomes.
Goal II: Focus content of environmental education (EE) on holistic outcomes.
Goal III: Support and enhance environmental education (EE) in PreK-12 schools.
Goal IV:Support and enhance the implementation of environmental literacy in institutions of higher education.
Goal V:Support and enhance the expansion of non-formal and non-traditional environmental education (EE).
Goal VI: Develop a research and evaluation agenda for environmental education (EE).
Grant applicants will need to detail how their project relates to one of these goals.
Additional for Forestry Education Category
Proposals submitted should be respectful of the roles that forest management, products, conservation, protection and preservation play in our economy.
Additional for School Forest Education Plan Category
Proposals must be for work to develop, enhance or modify an educational plan to provide details regarding how the use of the school forest and the district's K-12 environmental education plan are/will be integrated into the overall district curriculum.

Proposals must be for work to implement initiatives identified within the school forest education plan.
