Image of word "new" on a yellow background02/26/2008 The 2008-2009 Grant Applicants have been posted to the website. Decisions will be made at the Board's April meeting. Notification to all applicants will be made by mail sent the first week in May.

The grant cycle is now closed.  The next cycle will open in the fall of 2008. Materials remain posted to provide an overview of the program.

The Wisconsin Environmental Education Board (WEEB) was created by 1989 Act 299, becoming law in 1990. One of the Board's responsibilities is to award grants for the development, dissemination, and implementation of environmental education programs.

During the 2008-2009 grant cycle the WEEB anticipates allocating funds in three categories:

Deadline for applying: Postmarked by February 15, 2008

Please see the links to the left under "Grant Program" for program overview (including frequently asked questions), review criteria, project highlights (applicant and recipient information), reporting forms, and information about other grant opportunities.

Funded projects have included state-wide initiatives as well as small localized efforts. Audiences served include K-12 public and private school children, members of various youth organizations, classroom teachers and other educators, landowners, park patrons, tourists, government officials, business owners and employees and of course the  public.
