2009 Student and Teacher Participant Information

Students and teachers, grades 9-12, are invited to participate in the 18th annual High School Conference on the Environment. The Wisconsin Center for Environmental Education at UW-Stevens Point is proud to host this leadership skill-building opportunity.

Each school may send up to eight students to the conference. Participants serve as "ambassadors" from their school and are expected to bring a poster exhibit to share. Teachers are encouraged to recruit students who have an active interest in the environment and who show leadership potential. Individual students or non school-based groups are also encouraged to participate. It is expected that all participants will remain at the conference for the entire program.

All participating groups are expected to meet the Conference Preparation Requirement which involves completing a pre-assignment project or research exhibit to bring to the event.
