2008 Conference Participant Information
Exhibit Guidelines
Each group of students participating in
the conference is expected to bring a tabletop exhibit
showcasing an energy project they are conducting at their
school or homes. The exhibit should include a poster presentation
and other related materials. See the Exhibit Guidelines
for details. If you have no current energy project
on which to present an exhibit please complete the
Alternate Assignment.

Overview

Groups will
be provided with a 2'
by 6' table on which to place
their materials. All exhibits must be free-standing.
No wall space or easels will be available.

At minimum, each exhibit MUST
include a poster presentation. Accompanying items
should enhance the display. Ideas include equipment
used in in the project (if applicable), handouts, maps,
charts etc.

Computer-based resources can be
used to enhance the exhibit but cannot be the only
part of the exhibit.

Electricity is NOT available.

Your exhibit should be hosted by
at least one representative from your group at all
times during the exhibit session. Take turns so
everyone has an opportunity to visit the other
exhibits.

On the day of the conference,
reviewers will visit each exhibit. They will provide
written feedback to each group. Reviews will be
based on how well each display meets the guidelines
below.

Students participating in the
conference will vote for their favorite exhibit
based on educational content and creativity. An
award will be given to the winning group.
Poster
presentations should contain the following information:
- Title
- School Name
- City
- Ultimate goal of the effort
- Brief explanation of the
project
- Brief explanation of the
importance of your energy project
- Estimated energy savings for
efficiency or conservation projects or energy
produced for renewable energy projects
- Summarized results
- Any conclusions,
recommendations, actions taken, or next steps
- Photographs and images of the
project
Use photographs
and images to present the above information wherever
possible.
