2008 Conference Participant Information

Conference Preparation Requirements

All students participating in the conference should complete the Participant Preparation Activity and either create an Exhibit to bring to the conference or complete the Alternative Assignment.

All conference participants should complete the Participant Preparation Activity. This activity will help participants feel comfortable with their energy knowledge level and enable them to expand upon this knowledge at the conference.

Exhibit Guidelines
Each group of students participating in the conference is expected to bring a tabletop exhibit about an energy project they are conducting at their school. The exhibit should include a poster presentation and other related materials. See the Exhibit Guidelines for details. If you have no current energy project on which to present an exhibit please complete the Alternate Assignment.

Alternate Assignment
If your group is not conducting an energy project at your school, please do the following activity prior to attending the conference. Once you have completed the Alternate Assignment EITHER:
A) Create a document containing the information from the Alternate Assignment and email it to Carrie Ziolkowski (cziolkow@uwsp.edu) by November 5th
B) Create a poster presentation that incorporates information from the Alternate Assignment. Follow the Exhibit Guidelines (separate handout) to prepare your poster. Modify the information presented to show potential results. Posters will be eligible to win the student selected “favorite exhibit” award.
