Exhibit registrations are due Friday, October 17th, 2008

We are seeking exhibits about energy efficiency and conservation programs, renewable energy technologies, and energy-related careers. Educational organizations, non-profit agencies, student groups, and environmental organizations are encouraged to participate. We are also seeking Wisconsin colleges and universities with strong environmental and energy-based programs who wish to recruit students.

Goal of the Day
The goal of the day is to get students and teachers excited about energy efficiency and conservation, renewable energy, and energy careers. Throughout the day participants will learn why energy efficiency is important and how to conserve energy in their homes and schools.

Help us expose participants to as many different energy efficiency and conservation programs, renewable energy technologies, and energy-related careers as possible. We want them to leave empowered knowing that every person can play a part in conserving energy.

Audience Overview

  • Approximately 250 people will participate in the conference
  • 85% of participants will be high school students in 9th-12th grade (14-18 yrs old
  • 15% will be high school teachers
  • Participants are from biology classes, environmental science classes, environmental clubs, etc.
  • Participants are from all parts of Wisconsin – urban and rural, small and large schools, socio-economic diversity
  • Each teacher can bring up to 8 students – they should have an interest in environmental topics and have leadership or advocacy skills

Exhibit Overview

  • One session of the conference is devoted to all participants exploring the exhibits which will feature:

    • Professional exhibits
    • College recruitment exhibits
    • Careers speakers
    • High school and college student poster presentations
  • The conference site is the Dreyfus University Center (DUC) on the UW-Stevens Point campus in Stevens Point, Wisconsin
  • The conference runs from 8:00 am until 3:20 pm.
  • The exhibits will be set up in the Legacy Room on the 3rd floor of the DUC (Room #370). The exhibits will be open to conference participants from 12:00 until 12:45
  • Exhibits can be set up any time after 7:15 am

Exhibitor Fee
The cost to exhibit is $30.00 unless you are a presenter. This fee includes:

  • Table (6’ x 2’) in the Legacy Room in the Dreyfus University Center
  • Wireless Internet access (technical support will NOT be provided)
  • Listing in the conference program and on the conference web site
  • Full conference participation including keynote speakers and concurrent sessions (1 person)
  • Lunch (1 person)
