Pre-conference Workshop - Renewable Energy Technology Training

On Tuesday, November 8^th, the day before the conference, the Midwest Renewable Energy Association hosted a pre-conference workshop on renewable energy technology for a limited number of conference participants. The training took place at the ReNew the Earth Institute. The program engaged students in a real world exercise to determine the best location for a new home that would be powered by solar and wind systems. Through a series of small group exercises the students were introduced to the skills that renewable energy professionals use to site homes and systems.

Lunch, dinner, and overnight lodging at the Central Wisconsin Environmental Station (CWES) were included in this free program, funded by a grant from the Wisconsin Environmental Education Board.
