The Wisconsin Center for Environmental Education 2002 High School Conference on the Environment theme was Waste Not, Want Not: Choices in Consumption and Sustainability. Participants investigated how the world can develop along a sustainable path, given the ways people consume goods, resources, and energy. Ocean Robbins, president and founder of Youth for Environmental Sanity, delivered the opening keynote address and a variety of educators will led informative and engaging concurrent sessions.

Students involved in environmental groups or working on environmental projects exchanged ideas and materials in a lunchtime student sharing session. They also shared their work in the conference exhibit hall.
