Havenwoods Environmental Awareness Center, located in Havenwoods State Forest, has a wind turbine next to the building to demonstrate wind energy. This Center is open for field trips and welcomes your call at 414.527.0232. A printed calendar of events is also available.

Visit the Milwaukee County Zoo to see solar panels installed near the Stackner Heritage Farm. Riveredge Nature Center in Newburg is one of the largest nature centers in southeastern Wisconsin consisting of 350 acres of prairies, forests, ponds, and marshes along the Milwaukee River.
