Participants will understand the pros and cons of renewable energy and will be able to analyze issues surrounding the technologies.

Unit Objectives  

Participants will be able to:

• Identify the benefits and barriers of renewable energy by discussing its uses.
• Identify consideration that should be taken when making decisions about using renewable energy.
• Analyze payback of individual renewable energy systems.
• Compare and contrast renewable and non-renewable energy costs.
• Identify the green energy programs that exist in Wisconsin.
• List sources of additional information regarding renewable energy systems.
