International Photo Contest Web Exhibit

In celebration of the United Nations Decade on Education for Sustainable Development (2005-2014), the Global Environmental Teachings Program (GET) created an International Photo Contest. Through this contest GET gathered many photographs taken by students from China, South Africa, Tanzania, Pakistan, and Puerto Rico.

Looking at these photos, Margaret Mead's quote comes alive: 

Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, its the only thing that ever has.

Students throughout the world are working hard to make a difference by improving the environment around their schools, as well as better our earth. Collectively their impact on the sustainability of our natural resources, health of our planet, and protection of our biodiversity is astounding.

We want to share these inspiring examples of what students are doing to make a difference, and connect all the students together through this Web Exhibit.
