Grant and Scholarship Opportunities

GET tries to provide the most affordable programs possible, but international travel can be expensive. To reduce the cost of your next GET experience, here are some tips that might help.

 

Contact your local Rotary Club, Kiwanis Club, or Lions Club to ask for sponsorship to go on one of the GET programs.

  • Rotary International: Rotary is a worldwide organization of business and professional leaders that provides humanitarian service, encourages high ethical standards in all vocations, and helps build goodwill and peace in the world. Approximately 1.2 million Rotarians belong to more than 31,000 Rotary clubs located in 167 countries.

  • Kiwanis International: Kiwanis is a global organization of volunteers dedicated to changing the world one child and one community at a time.

  • Lions International: Liberty, Intelligence, Our Nation's Safety (LIONS) - Motto: "We Serve"

Tax Deductible

Tuition and fees for GET courses may be tax deductible. Consult your school accountant or financial advisor for advice.

Wisconsin Environmental Education Board (WEEB)

WEEB provides grants for educators that aim to improve environmental education in the state of Wisconsin. They provide a range of grants, from smaller ones for classroom projects or field trips to large grants up to $20,000.  WEEB grants support proposals that aim to increase environmental literacy, interdisciplinary EE projects, community action, foster leaders, and professional development goals.
