The Green Circle Trail
Schmeeckle Reserve is
the headquarters of the Green Circle Trail, a
30-mile natural hiking
and biking trail that loops around the Stevens Point Area. About 1.4 miles
of the Green Circle meanders through the northern part of Schmeeckle,
with easy access to the rest of the Reserve's
trails.
Stop by the visitor center for
free parking, to obtain
information and maps, and
purchase Green Circle Trail
souvenirs.
Special
Rules and
Considerations in
Schmeeckle:-
Pets are
not allowed on this
portion of the Green
Circle due to
UWSP

are allowed on
all other

Green Circle.
-
Biking
is allowed, but

wood-chipped and can
be difficult for
riding.
-
An
alternative route is
available along
North Point Drive
for pet owners and
bikers who would
prefer an easier
ride.
