Earth Week Art Show

In April, University of Wisconsin -Stevens Point celebrates Earth Day with Earth Week, and the culminating event, the Eco Fair , has several events going on.  In the past couple years, an art show has taken place.

There are already two sort of "nature" shows (The Wildlife Society's and Xi Sigma Pi's) based on traditional artist’s tools/equipment/media.  It is being considered whether the Earth Week show could shift focus, requiring artworks created out of garbage or reused/recycled materials.  Has something "beyond repair" developed some other functional purpose?  It could merely be a new decorative fixture to some patched up piece of clothing.  How resourceful are you?  Creativity calls.

However, this show is relatively new, so if and how it is held depends on interest.  Interested?  Questions?  Watch for details on campus in March or April, or contact the organizers of the main event, the UW-SP Environmental Educators and Naturalists Association:

eena-nai@uwsp.edu / 715 346 2076, or the past organizer, Catherine Hassemer at chass940@uwsp.edu.
