National Environmental Education Act Up For Reauthorization In U.S. Congress

The following information is provided to you as a service of the National

The National EE Act is now up for reauthorization in the U.S. Congress.
The main features of the legislation are as follows: It 1) authorizes $10 million in
funding, 2) increases funds for local grants, 3) supports teacher training, and 4) adds
language in the Act reaffirming that the act will support “balanced and
scientifically sound” environmental education, barring the direct use of the funds
for lobbying purposes.
