NEEAP Clearinghouse:
From Our Shelves to Your ComputerThe Environmental Education Advocate - Spring 1998
The following information is provided to you as a service of the National
Environmental Education Advancement Project (NEEAP). We encourage you to use it and
please credit the National Environmental Education
Advancement Project where appropriate.
One of NEEAPs services is to be a one-stop shop for EE capacity building
resources. NEEAP's Clearinghouse is designed to provide EE leaders with a selection
of resources on the development of: 1) effective EE organizations which focus to
achieve comprehensive EE programs and 2) the Components of Comprehensive State-Level
EE Programs such as EE Master plans, standards incorporating EE and information about EE
grants programs.
The NEEAP Clearinghouse contains approximately 400 resources. However, there
are many vital documents and electronic resources which we do not yet have. The next
step in making this clearinghouse an effective resource tool for capacity building
nationally, is to find and add missing resources. We are currently seeking
documents related to state EE curriculum standards/guidelines (or subject area standards
that encompass EE). Please call (715-346-4748), fax (715-346-4748), or e-mail
(tbeasley@uwsp.edu) us if you know of any of these resources in your state. We can
then determine if we already have the resource, and discuss how to obtain access to
it. We are hoping that this listing will be made available through EE Link (with
search capabilities) by Fall, 1998.
