"How to Grow a School Forest" Handbook
The school forest handbook is an invaluable resource for growing
your school forest program. It contains information and resources
that will be of interest whether you are just getting started or you
are updating or expanding an existing program.
This is the first manual in Wisconsin to aid teachers in adapting
their school forests into working outdoor classrooms. The handbook
has been beneficial to many school forests educators since its
publication. The updated version maintains the basic format of this
excellent and very popular resource while providing:
- updated, live website links
- live links within the handbook to quickly get you to relevant information
- additional resources on vandalism and professional development opportunities
- categorized appendix
We encourage you to use the handbook on-line to take full
advantage of handbook's electronic format. If you prefer a hard
copy, preview the section in which you are interested before
printing so you don't miss any of the linked materials.
