"Look What I Did With A Leaf!"
Use leaves and other natural objects from the forest to create fun
art.
Printable PDF Version
You will need:
- Leaves that have been pressed for a few days to dry and flatten. Leaves that are not dry before use will curl as they dry.
- Acorns, pine cones and needles, bark, and other natural objects.
- Construction paper, scissors, and glue (liquid works better than stick.
- Additional craft supplies that can be used as accents such as sequins, beads, pipe cleaners, etc.
Have students use the leaves to create an image on the construction paper. Natural objects and craft items can be used as accents such as eyes and page boarders. Once students have created their design, have them glue the items to the paper starting with the bottom layer and working to the top. If desired, spray the art with a clear lacquer to preserve it.
