Construction Site Erosion Control Workshop - Rice
Lake

Sponsored by the UW-Extension Basin Education program, the purpose of this workshop is to increase the level of knowledge and
expertise in the control of erosion from small construction sites,
primarily one- and two-family homes. Participants can receive
continuing education credits and qualify for Wisconsin Dept of Commerce
Soil Inspection Certification.
Topics covered in the workshop include "Regulations for Home
Construction Sites," "Understanding Flow and Erosion,"
"Erosion Control for Small Sites", a Site Design exercise and
other topics.

Land Use
Impact Assessment Tools Workshop
The Department of Natural Resources has a responsibility to support
Wisconsin�s comprehensive planning (�smart growth�) process.
One component of this effort is to promote the use of decision
support tools by the general public, public officials, and others
who make land use decisions. Along these lines, we are pleased to be
sponsoring this workshop to evaluate tools for assessing impacts of
land use decisions.
