    • The Wisconsin Land Use Megatrends: Forests brochure is now online.  This brochure illustrates statewide land use trends related to Wisconsin's forested lands.  There are two versions of the brochure.  The standard version has a full-color background and a less color-intensive version with white backgrounds throughout are available on the publications page.

    • "Sustaining Wisconsin Forests & Woodlands to Strengthen our Economy"
      CLUE will hold workshops for community leaders and forest stakeholders to not only provide current information on the status of our forests and woodlands, but also to provide skills and materials to help communities maintain the benefits of this valuable resource for the future. The workshop will be especially beneficial to: UWEX Basin educators and CNRED educators, local government officials, woodland owners, and forest managers; interested citizens are invited to attend as well. Two regionally relevant workshops will be held in Rhinelander at the Timber Producer’s Association on June 9th and in Baraboo at UW-Baraboo/Sauk County on June 30th, both from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.  Visit the Forest Planning for Wisconsin's Future webpage for more information

    • Design Guidelines to Enhance Community Appearance and Protect Natural Resources ─ a guidebook for citizens, decision-makers, and students
      To facilitate a greater understanding of community planning tools and natural resource “Best Management Practices,” a 65-page guidebook has been developed that compares traditional development to a more visually appealing approach that also protects natural and cultural resources.  The guidebook features color photos that address twenty of the most common development issues including: shoreline development, water quality and storm water management, landscape character protection, visual corridors, pedestrian accessibility, historic preservation, signage, lighting, and more.

    • The Center for Land Use Education is inviting Wisconsin Social Studies and Environmental Education teachers to participate in a focus group. The activity will determine and validate the placement of land use concepts with their correlating WDPI standards in order to produce a suggested scope and sequence and eventually the CLUSTER guide, a Creative Land Use Series for Teachers and Educator Resources. There will be a stipend offered for time and travel along with all meals for the day.
